Everyone is into fitness.
Cool. It's about time activity is in the forefront. Careers have opened up for enthusiastic athletes looking for a chance to uplift and encourage others however there is a massive market of unaware and misinformed "trainers."
Shauna Harrison puts the truth, trial and testimony behind her practice as a yoga instructor, educator and fitness professional. I trust her because she actually does the work. Check the #sweataday challenge or her PHD for proof.

Where did you grow up? BAY AREA! Sunnyvale to be exact.
Guilty pleasure? None -- because I don't feel guilty about things I really want
Pen or pencil? Pencil. I like to be able to make mistakes and then correct them.
Who is your biggest inspiration? My late niece Savannah who makes me want to live, love and work more wholeheartedly and with purpose every day.
Where do you go to get peace of mind? I go for a run either in the hills or on the beach
What is the first thing that you do in the morning? I want to say something noble like "brush my teeth and floss" but reality is, first I check my phone.
What was your favorite year of life? Every year seems to top the last, so I guess that means I'm doing life right?
If you were to ever change your name legally, what would it be? I actually love my name. Maybe I would just Cher it and use only one name?
Kale or Spinach? Yes. ha.
How do you keep an alkaline diet? I listen to my body more than I follow any particular type of diet or rules.
What did you want to be when you were a child? Well, I mostly just wanted to go to Stanford my whole childhood. Didn't think much beyond that.
What did you learn today? I learned that rest is a beautiful thing
What color was yesterday? A super bright yellow.
What does happy mean? Happy means everything to me. Happy is my status quo. If I'm not happy, something needs to change, so I change it.
What does sacrifice mean? To me sacrifice isn't a huge, noble action to forgo something for the sake of something else. For me, it's as simple as a choice. To choose something over another. If my "sacrifice" is doing/not doing something that others value so that I can better work towards something I want, it is not really a "sacrifice" to me. It's just a choice I make in the process. If I didn't want to make that particular choice, I wouldn't do it.
What will you be remembered for? I hope I will be remembered for being a leader in the movement movement.
What keeps you consistent? I love the process of work, the highs and the lows. When you love and respect the process, working hard every day is rewarding. Consistency is easy.
How does it feel to win? Amazing, obviously, but also validating. That I did the right kind, amount, and quality of work to achieve what I wanted.
How does it feel to lose? It's always a little gut wrenching right in the moment, but it's honestly the most motivating thing that can happen. It lights a fire like nothing else.
Winter or summer? Summer!
Do you like your water room temperature or cold? room temperature for sure
How much did you know about UNDO before the interview? A lot! I was immediately drawn to UNDO the second I heard about it so I keep up with the crew religiously.
How do you undo ordinary? I live and work to defy the norm; I am only comfortable in the uncomfortable. I crave uniqueness, exploration, and creativity. If there is a clear cut path, I don't want to take it. If someone starts to take the path I create, I create a new one. I learned very early on that I am not good at what everyone else does. I am great at doing my own thing my own way.
What is the nicest thing someone has done for you? I am a sucker for the littlest gestures. Someone going out of their way to show me they were thinking about me gets me every single time.
How many hours do you sleep?  I aim for 8-9, which usually means I get about 7.
